There are a few tips that you can use help you find the right house for you and your housemates. Like renting any property the location is very important, when you are renting a property with other people finding a house that is in a good spot for everyone can be difficult. As most students have no money when they are at university, ideally you should choose a house that is close enough to walk to the university campus. If you are located too far away from the university it can be expensive and time wasting which can become tedious.
When you have found the right house and taken a looked around make sure that you have a chance to talk to the landlord and find out all the details you will need for living in the property. Be sure you ask for a copy of the tenancy agreement as this is a very important legal document when renting. If you can finding out what sort of insurance cover your landlord has is also a great idea ideally they will have landlords insurance. The vast majority of student housing is located in the cheaper parts of town or cities and this means that the rents are generally lower.
